Mullets Seafood Informative - Serves Expired Food - Seafood & Oysters

Review by Taye on 2007-02-23
WINTER GARDEN, FLORIDA -- Yes,they serve expired fish & bad oysters. A man even died from consuming their bad oysters. He did have an immune problem, but it still got the health dep. Involved. They serve out dated food because they're too cheap to buy it fresh. They have many cockroachees. And the kitchen help doesn't even wear hair nets! The pricing is too high for the portions of food. The food is bland & tasteless. I would bring in my own food cause theirs was no good. Employees, except family, never got any discount on food either. That's how cheap these people are. They've had many many conplaints on everything about them. They would blame it on the servers instead of taking responsibilty for bad food. Well most of the help quit & they still have no business. Also they are religious freaks & play (loudly at that)tv avangelists on all 6 of their tvs. The heater & ac are most of the time broken too. This place just all around sucks!

I worked for this co. For nearly 1 year 05-06 i quit last july because i couldn't get off saturdays, after working 10 hours days fri & sat for nearly a year! I told them that it was too much for me,with studying & a man at home & everything. They also paid their children & family members twice what the rest of us got paid. Now they refuse to send me a w-2 form! They even told me that employees,no employee anywhere gets copies of w-2 forms!!! Wtf? Yes they do. I took this to the irs & the bbb. He told me that the irs lied to me about him having a copy of it. So now i'm filing complaints anywhere that i can find to. Because i shouldn't have to get an audit because they're bitter & don't know how to run a business.

As long as they pay minimum wage an employer can pay what they please. Not providing a W2 form is a serious federal offense. What did the IRS say?

Do the owners and employees all have mullets? That would be something to see.

You'll eventually need your W-2..If I remember correctly, though, most if not all the information you'll need to put on your 1040 will be on your final pay stub with them. I would recommend contacting a local tax professional (someone smarter than H&R Block...) to ask how to proceed without a W2. You can't be the first person in the history of the world not to receive this document.

Wait, wait, wait. WTF?! You said in your other complaint that you'd been there a year and the reason you quit was because they wouldn't give you Saturdays off. If they'd been more generous with the schedule, would you still be there working under these same conditions (with people supposedly DYING?)? I hope you have the proof to back up these claims because sour grapes can be even harder to swallow when you're being sued for libel...

What's that smell over at Mullets? Oh, that's right, it the smell of a disgruntled former employee.

I must agree it looks like a disgruntled employee!

Mullets Seafood restaurant es el cheapo!

I was thinking the exact same thing as Heaven17. They are serving expired food that caused someone to die and the only reson you quit is because you couldn't get Saturday's off. WOW

Taye: After reading your complaint my heart goes out to you. I can't imagine working somewhere a WHOLE year and still not getting Saturdays off.
Some poor soul died from these expired and bland oysters but you being a concerned citizen ate some anyway just for this review. I commend you!
For you to have to put up with no heating or A/C and to have "Religious Freaks" forced down your throat is unthinkable. Being in a hot, steamy room with Benny Hinn or Robert Tilton, must have been torture!
I bet that they didn't even have any highchairs there either, huh?
File your taxes, check your clothes for roaches, get rid of YOUR mullet and come see me about a job.
Signed, Cora Faye from Denver

Outdated mullets and outdated fish. What a shame.

rnick...I giggled when I read your comment about ppl there having mullets. I noticed the name of the restaurant too.

That sounds like a bunch of bull ship to me.

you're Right I am Mad As Hell That I May Possibly Get An Audit. So I'm Speaking The Truth Now. I am Very Timid & Not At All Vendictive Unless I Have To Be. BTW The People Who Ordered The Bad Fish & Other Bad Foods Sent Them Back Right Away Due To Smell & Taste. So Noone Was "Dying". Think What You Will,But I Stand By What I Say. I Stayed B/C I Had Loyal Customers & I Was Treated Like Family At The Time.

Why is the first letter of everyone of your words on the above comment in capital?? The only word that should be in capitals is the word that begins the sentence, well except for the first word on your comment. It looks really weird.

But Taye you just stated in your letters that someone did die from consuming bad oysters. Next time make sure you are sober when you write a letter.
Posted by Taye on 2007-02-26:
YES,He died but he also Had An immune Disorder that helped contribute to it. Do some research on raw oysters. And Who Cares If I capitalize my words? That's not really important is it?

leave this girl alone. She's just doing what everyone else on this site is doing,Complaining. Read my reveiw for a little more insight on "Mullets"
Posted by bill on 2007-02-26:
Taye: You're right, capitalization is not importnat. What is important is that "A man even died from consuming their bad oysters" and the only reason you quit is because you couldn't get Saturday's off. Your parents must be so proud of you for standing up for what is right: Saturday's off.

bill - I have the feeling that Taye did not quit, but was fired because for refusing to work Saturdays and just did not show up, and is making this "review" to get back at their former company. If someone really did die from bad oysters, the health department would check into it and shut the restaurant down. If his letter were true, there would be many complaints about people getting sick off the oysters and they would not be allowed to serve food anymore.

****I have tried posting my own reveiws but they just don't stick. So let me tell everyone that place did indeed serve me spoiled fish then told me it was suppose to taste sour and smell rotting. My child worked there that's the ONLY reason I went there. Besides the bad food, the "boss" made several sexual comments to my daughter. And BOUNCED one of her pay checks. This is a terrible business with worse management! Stear clear of this place unless you want a horrible experience.****

Candy Gram, I have a feeling that you are eith Taye yourself, or taye's mother. And that your daughter and you are trying tog et back at your former employer. If your "daughter's" story were true someone would have contacted the health department and closed the place down.
