AVG Compliment - AVG is awsome: - computer anti virus

Review by NeoGeo on 2007-02-25
NEW MEXICO -- I used Norton anti virus for many years, until I started noticing that some of the viruses were controlling the anti virus program and its updates. I tried Mcafee for awhile, but that was even worse. When I found out about AVG I downloaded the free version. This system is awsome. When I first installed it on the system it found the stuff that Norton and Mcafee were not taking care of. My system has been working wonderfully ever since. I highly recommend AVG anti virus. AVG is put out by a company called Grisoft. They produce other things, but I have not tried them.

I've been using the free version of AVG for years, and, I love it!

AVG is a great anti-virus program indeed.

A few months ago I loaded it on my notebook (HP DV8110). Ran slow and would not update. But it did find test viruses.

I've been using AVG for the past couple of years. Find it to be a good anti-virus program. About a year ago, Comcast in our area offered free downloaded McAfee to its ISP subscribers. I installed/uninstalled it on at least half a dozen occasions and found it slowed down my computer very much. Contacted Comcast who told me it was a McAfee problem, not theirs. Decided to continue AVG. Haven't been disappointed.

Can anyone get responses to the FAQ section of the Grisoft website?

Chuck, if you mean the usual FAQ section of the site, yes, I've been able to get into it. Clicked through a few of the Q's just a short while ago after I read your response. But if you mean a personal response--can't help you with that.

Ponie, thanks. I was referring to to the site FAQ's, NOT personal. When I use Firefox 1.5 or 2.0 the questions do nothing. When I use IE it says there is an error on the page.
