Gate.com Affinity Hosting Complaint - Gate.com an affinity company stay away

Had virtual private server at gate.com, an affinity company. By far the worst experience ever. Site has been down 5 days. Their attitude is "too bad" They have no back up. Didn't even know our site was down til we reported it. Lost all our emails. Cost thousands in lost biz. If you care about your company, avoid this host

Did they guarantee a certain level of support? I know most hosting companies only worry about keeping the hardware and network up and running. What your software is doing on the box is usually not monitored unless you pay extra.
