Image Rent-a-Car Informative - Car rental fiasco

Review by kmdddddd on 2007-02-28
NEW YORK -- The final corrrespondence with this company.

Not only did you not fulfill your contract for reasons which I can only speculate, you withheld the fact (despite numerous email and cell phone calls) until the very last moment such that I could not make other arrangements. Even the one and only vehicle (with inadequate seating and only 3 entertainment listening devices) you forced me into renting was an hour late relative to the planned pick up time. I was also forced to fill the gas tank since it was empty making me even later.

i saw your posting, what kind of vehicle were you gonna rent? was the vehicle they gave you an upgrade or a lower class?

i have rented alot of cars, perhaps you should understand that things happen. sometimes car rental companys have to give you something other than you wanted but most times its a better vehicle anyways.

This guy got a Cadillac Escalade ESV 2007 Fully Loaded 8 Passengers with 2 TV dvd full tank pf gas instead of the 9 Passenger luxury van rental he was to get. The van arrived a little late from the dealer. it was a brand New Van and we secure him a Cadillac Escalade ESV that's the Long Version Escalade similar to the Conversion Van he reserved.

Earlier today LeahZ came on here writing an "unbiased review" of Image Rent A Car. The review read like a commercial and the admin took it down. It was so blatantly transparent it was laughable. Gives you an idea how sleazy Image Rant a Car must be.

so this guy is upset because he was given an escalade rather than a van? im confused. sounds to me like the company had a glitch and did everything they could to make it better. everyone should remember than in that kind of biz you depend on people bringing the car they rented back on time. if the person dont, it will mess things up for other people getting the car they want.

im sorry but it sounds like "kmdddddd" just wants to take out the fact that he is just an angry person on the car rental office.

I had rented a 9 seater van for a day and a half and the hefty price of over $600. You would think that would guarantee some level of service. Anyways they gave me a 7 seater suv. I then needed a second car and driver to get everyone to the birthday destination. The party group was also split up defeating the whole point....

so Image rent a car is still lieing. There were seatbelts for 7. I needed 8. There were headsets for 3 passengers not 7. Since I anticipated this - I have it on video.
The glich may have been that they managed to rent the van for a longer period of time to someone else and defrauded me with their surplus stock - but that's just a theory of why they kept this all secret despite lots of communication until well over a 1/2 hour after pickup time.

im not sure what this guy is talking about, i have rented the ESV from BHR in california and Image in NYC. that car holds 8 people if the thing had a bench seat in the middle and not the captian chairs.

bottom line. Rented a nine seater van. Was not given 9 seats so had to use two vehicels, two drivers and split the party group.
