Magoo's Pizza Complaint - Large two topping pizza for $10.99

LIVERMORE, CALIFORNIA -- I had a coupon from Garlex Pizza in Livermore, a "managers special" that offered a large two topping pizza for $10.99. Online I found coupons for Magoos that offered a Large Pizza for the price of a medium, or an XL for the price of a Large, but didn't specify prices.

I called Magoos and was put on hold for at least 5 minutes before someone even picked up the phone again. I inquired about their prices and sizes - it was more expensive than Garlex. I had never tried either of them, but since Magoos ad said "we will match most competitor's coupons", I told them about the coupon I had and asked if they would honor it. The clerk asked her boss, and I was told that yes, they would. I went ahead and ordered.

The pizza that was delivered was a Medium, and not enough to feed my hungry family! I called back and after being passed from person to person, finally spoke to the "manager" who later told me she was also the "owner", and she said that she heard the order as a medium, and that we had gotten a good deal, what was the problem? She said there was nothing else she could do. I told her I didn't think that was the proper way to do business and she didn't care!

I would have expected an apology for starters, and perhaps a comp for another pizza or an additional coupon. Don't give your business to Magoo's!
