Sears Complaint - Delayed delivery of clothes dryer
YORKTOWN, NEW YORK -- Ordered a clothes dryer on Feb 12 2007. Sears never called, but emailed 5 days later that model wasn't available, and to contact them if a substitute was acceptable. Called and agreed.
Asked for delivery department to call me to see about earliest delivery and they never called.
Current estimated delivery date is March 6th. I could have gotten a dryer delivered the next day from many other places. The delayed delivery, the failure to notify me about a needed substitution for 5 days, the lack of an immediate phone call regarding the out of stock "in stock" item; leaves little wonder why Sear's appliance department is losing market share to Home Depot and many other retailers. looks like the handwriting seems to be on the wall for them, I guess I should sell my shares of stock too.
