Parkview Apartments Complaint - Parkview And Willowcrest Apartments

Review by ISABEL on 2007-03-05
WHITEHALL, PENNSYLVANIA -- I have to say that in the begining it was great untill the apartment started falling apart. I would call for repairs and the work orders magically disapeared and we were made to look like we never called for repairs. Then the unthinkable hit mildew started growing in our bathroom and my husband and i called in repair and it took 2 years for the ceiling to get fixed and the mildew is still there....I know its a health issue and therefore i decided to move and they still want their last months rent even if i am leaving on the 15th of march and paying for the entire month.....They are still billing me for the last month of april. Last night i put an industrial mouse trap and i caught 3 mice in one night!!!! I cant bear this any longer..... I had both my cars needing new windshields because of tree maintenance and then when it snows we have garbage in our salt buckets because they donot clean our building.....The tenants clean and i personally vacuum my hallway.....I tried making the deal to pay march and not pay april for it was my last month and i was not happy ans they told me they would double charge me if i left....As with anything if a contract is not met where if i didnt pay my rent they would evict me but has not been the case i hjave always paid my rent and because i am hispanic i know that is why they are having problems....Besides all the hispanic and black tenants live in the back while the hispanics and blacks live in the front......And we get no landscaping done back there all they care about is the money they will get from you and they raise the rent 50 to 75 dollars a year. I hate it there for the fact that the pple in their office need to be restaffed.

I live in Whitehall too. I used to live in Helfrich Springs up until when we bought a house in October. We had a 2 bedroom 1.5 bath and when we left the rent was $935 which included all utilities. After the first year the rent did raise but only by $15.00. Also, they have a nice pool and you'll always see someone outside landscaping in the Spring or Summer. They had someone who vacuumed the halls too. You may want to look into them if you haven't already chosen a new place. It's on Mickley Road near the old Franks.
