Country Companies Complaint - Not worth it! - Insurance

LONGMONT, COLORADO -- Country is terrible. They don't know what they are doing, have terrible communication, and are not up to speed on the technology of the 21st century (no online bill-pay and no helpful on-line resources.)
I was with Country for over 2 years. I paid early and had several policies with my agent. Whenever I had a question or adjustment, I usually got the agent's voicemail. Then, I only got a return call 40% of the time. When I moved out of state I told my agent and even added another policy. He assured me that there would not be any problems with my new address. A few months later, I got all sorts of notices that they were going to cancel my insurance. I asked my agent about (after 6 phone calls - 4 voicemails and 2 conversations) and he kept saying he would get back to me. I never did get an answer, so I switched to Farmer's (GREAT service! And knowledgeable). THEN, the Country agent said I could keep my renter's policy with him, so for the sake of convience, I did. Today I found out that my renter's policy was a part of another policy that got cancelled, thus the renter's cancelled. Boy am I glad that I did my insurance agent's job for him or he could have had a lawsuit on his hands. I will NEVER do business with this agency again. I would rather pay more and know that I am covered and that I will get the help that I need, when I need it.

We used Country Companies when we lived in Colorado several years ago, and had nothing but wonderful service from them. Sorry to hear they aren't the same company any more.
