Americn Express Complaint - American Express C.C.

Review by REB0421 on 2007-03-05
PALM BEACH, FLORIDA -- I received a pre approved application for American Express. I looked at the application thourghly and it sais that I would get a card. I have a credit score of 728 with no blemishes. They turned it down because of a past problem 15 years ago. Their application is a lie and a fraud. I did not want to take a hit on my credit inquiry. It was clear that I would get the card on the application. When I called they said that the get the names from the yellow pages, and other lists. I was pre selected, not pre approved. Why don't they say that? Well, because they are "Enron Type" liars! To be fair many c.c. companies do this. It's becomming clear and transparent how crooked the corporations have become.

Pre-selected is a common term for mail-solicited business...

With the current state of the economy bordering on unstable... I heard on the news that lenders (and probably cc companies) are leaning more towards the conservative side when it comes to giving out loans (and credit). Emt_c is right though... they probably didn't know much about you before you sent that application in... it was just a ploy to try and drum up business... but not a guarantee.

A single inquiry on your credit report won't hurt your score.
