Autosport Honda Complaint - Faulty Repair - Automotive Repair and Service

Review by tdinunz on 2007-03-07
BRIDGEWATER, NEW JERSEY -- The service department incorrectly diagnosed a "noise" problem and told me I needed to replace both front axels in a 94 Accord. The cost was $700. I authorized the work trusting that the Mechanic knew what he was doing. When I got the car home, I realized the PROBLEM WAS STILL THERE. I brought the car back and found out all the car needed was some lubrication and a minor adustment. The Service Manager refused to admit they made a mistake and would not refund any of the money charged to replace two perfectly good axels. Worst of all is that the Service Manager seems to take pride in ripping off customers.

NOTE TO SELF: Lubricate the front axles and make minor adjustments to avoid the $700 repair.
