Westgate Resorts Complaint - Watch for bait and switch!!!!!!

ORLANDO, FLORIDA -- West Gate Vacation villas

After spending 4 hours negotiating the preconstruction price of a particular unit in Westgate Villas, I said I needed a week to think about it since it would be purchased for a family trust. I was willing to forfeit my $100 deposit to lock in that price for a week while i consulted family members. Well after 4 hours it was closing time and my sales associate went to her supervisor who said sign here and we'll hold the unit for you. So trusting my realtor I signed where they said sign. My family decided against the deal and i assumed we just forfeited our deposit until i got a bill in the mail for a weeks vacation package costing $1295. Which they would be kind enough to deduct from the purchase of a $25,000 unit which would have been ok if i had not spent 4 hours negotiating a unit for $17,000. All I get out of them is you signed the contract mam, yes i did but i didn't get time to read it and the words vacation package were never uttered. So be careful. They will talk your ear off about one thing and sell you something else without you knowing it. I for one do not intend to pay.

'...you signed the contract mam, yes i did but i didn't get time to read it...' I think your statement explains it all.

Was it your Realtor or the sales associate who told you to sign? If the Realtor I'd complain that he/she deceived you. One is supposed to trust their Realtor. If it was the sales associates then you're out of luck because you didn't read what you signed.

If you intend not to pay then better get yourself a lawyer to defend you in court because these places will sue. It's possible that you might be able to negotiate out of the contract but it's gonna cost plenty.
