Home Depot Informative - Home Depot, It's not alway their fault.
I recently bought a dishwasher from Home Depot for my rental house. It was not top of the line, which in my opinion doesn’t really make that much difference to justify the price difference.
The real problem was I broke two of my own rules because I didn’t want to take the time to check the thing.
First I had a little trouble getting someone to wait on me. It seems the girl that was running that department was ready to go to lunch and her manager told her she had to cut back on her hours. So I had a guy help me that had his arm in a sling and also had a bad leg. When he came back with the DW the first thing I did was look at the box, which had a bad spot on it, I didn’t open it to check it out, MY BAD!
When I got the old one out at the rental house, which someone else had supposedly checked out. Then I opened the new one and yep, it had a big dent in the door, MY BAD! I was in no mood to take it back and go trough the trouble to get another one that I would have had to wait two weeks for. They already told me that I got the last one. So I installed it and it works fine, the dent is just cosmetic and I can fix it easy.
The old one I took out and didn’t check and should have, had “corn” blocking the pump and that was all that was wrong with that one.
The moral of this story is, “Check things you buy at the store or on the truck before you accept it.” And when you have someone else check out work for you, “Go back and check it yourself.”
My Bad for breaking my own rules.
