Hoover Company Complaint - Hoover Windtunnel vacuum cleaner

Complaint
Review by Remy on 2007-03-12
I have had my Hoover vacuum cleaner for less than a year and it now needs repair for the 3rd time for the same problem -- the self propel feature does not work and it goes through a belt in less than a month!! I have also had to have the on/off switch replaced. As I do not want to be without a vacuum AGAIN!, I asked to have it replaced as an obvious lemon.

Hoover stance is they will continue to replace it until it is deemed (by them)to be unrepairable. So fair warning out there -- DO NOT BUY A HOOVER VACUUM -- unless of course you are a masochist.

My experience, also. A self-propel drive belt lasts about as long as a dirt bag. The on-off switch has to be babied. The self-propel feature is always hit or miss.
