The Black Steer Grill Land and Sea Complaint - Appetizer Lobster Roberto
HAGERSTOWN, MARYLAND -- I ate at the Black Steer Grill Land and Sea Restaurant located at:
1580 Wesel Blvd.
Hagerstown, MD 21740
My wife and I ate at this restaurant on the afternoon of March 12, 2007. I love seafood -- good seafood and I ordered an item under the APPETIZER part of the menu selections. The dish was called Lobster Roberto. The description of this dish told of "Loads of Lobster Meat served in a Creamy dipping Sauce and includes an edible bread bowl. The bread bowl was fabulous but, there was not one bit of lobster meat in this dish. I ate 90% of it myself and I am a huge lobster and crab meat fan so I cannot be fooled.
I was instead treated to a dish with "loads" of imitation crab meat, which we all know is mostly reprocessed fish with some food coloring to look like and imitate crab and lobster meat.
This dish is $7.99 and considering the contents it is way, way overpriced for sure. The consumer here is the loser as anyone ordering this would expect to get lobster meat not reprocessed fish or imitation crab meat.
If you want Lobster - go to red lobster!!! I have always been happy with their product and when it says Lobster it is Lobster -- when it says Crab it is Crab -- when it says a particular fish or shrimp that is what it is.
Thank you for your time and for all of you Lobster and seafood fans....make sure you know what you are paying for and eating. A well versed consumer is one who will always get his moneys worth when making a reasonable purchase.
