Dish Network Informative - Return of Dish Equipment perfect condition
CELINA, TEXAS -- We recently moved from CA to TX, leaving ATT & Dish network behind, they told us to take the equipment with us and they would send the return boxes to our new address, we received the boxes and returned all four receivers, three months later I receive a collection notice in the mail and on my credit report. Apparently Dish states that one of the returned receivers was dammaged. Funny, they all worked fine before we sent them back. Knowing that we are no longer a ATT or Dish customer, they treat you like a criminal. I paid to haul this junk all the way to TX and promptly returned all equipment and now, the 100.00 charge for the deemed dammaged equipment, is showing up on my credit. Called ATT and they told be that the account is no longer in their system and to contact Dish, Called Dish network and they said we are being charged for damaged equipment. Hmm, I asked them for proof of damaged equipment and they could not provide me any written documentation or email that stated, equipment damaged, so, no proof that the equipment was damaged, ATT does not have record of charges, collection agency states that we owe ATT the money and 108.00 dollars to Dish network. So, how can I pay for a collection for a piece of equipment wthat was perfect condition and no proof of damage, they also told me that it was up to the customer to buy the extra insurance when shipping back the equipment with their pre-paid UPS lable. Im sure if I was still a customer of ATT, I would be treated differently. Now, I have to spent the next two years trying to clean up this collection on my credit report. Down with ATT and Dish, they dont talk to each other!
