AutoHotline Complaint - Now this scam is called AutoHotline

Review by Mr.Bridges on 2007-03-14
929 NORTH PLUMGROVE SCHAUMBURG, ILLINOIS -- So, as many people here know this company keeps changing their name and it seems nobody can stop them. First I find a charge for 9.99, after talking with my credit card company I was told to contact AutoHotline ( 929 North Plumgrove, Schaumburg, Illinois 60173 / 1-866-413-2173 / ask for Ryan, he rocks ). So immediately they cancled and recounted all of my charges, that sent up a red flag, must happen all the time. So I asked how did this happen, and was told about how Household Bank ( who was bought out and still controlled by HSBC credit card company aka Orchard Bank )contacted me and asked me to sign up for services. I do not sign up for services on the phone, never have never will, so this would mean that I did not give out my card number or information. So how did they get it? According to HSBC they have no idea who Autohotline is nor how Household Bank got my information since they no longer occupy any office within the company. So now I am forced to apply for a new card, if you have an account with this company tell them you want no phone calls or mail from third party companies. Select no for information on "deals" or "specials" or even apply for help lowering your rates, all it does is give them a right to share your information. I hope that this stops soon.
