Selective Health/Amacore Complaint - Health Insurance - Discount Plan
CHARLESTON, WEST VIRGINIA -- I was called by a Selective Health Representative on a Saturday who was more than anxious to sign my son up for Health Insurance. It sounded good and she transferred me to the confirmation department which was recorded, when I heard it was a discount plan and I told them I did not want the plan I wanted Health Insurance, I was transferred back to the over helpful representative which assured me that it was Health Insurance. I had 30 days to review the policy or cancel and get a full refund. After getting off the phone I had a funny feeling and started investigating the company and saw that it is only a discount plan and has few providers. I also never received anything in the mail to review. I have tried contacting them to cancel the plan and I get transferred between the processing department and customer service and no employee will tell me if my account will be refunded. I put a dispute on my charge account and was informed even if I change my card number or cancel my account that I'm still responsible for the charges. This is a very DECEPTIVE COMPANY!
