Maytag/Dynasty Complaint - Terrible Product, Horrible Service

Review by scanmike on 2007-03-16
QUEENS, NEW YORK -- Bought a Dynasty stove less than 4 years ago($2800.00) and in the first 2 years had 4 repairs under warantee-ignitors, broken bottom plates due to heat expansion. Protected myself, or so I thought, with a extended service contract. Good thing. It broke again, 6 months after it was supposedly fixed. Contacted Maytag Dependability Plus and after 2 weeks I am still without a stove. ASked to speak to a supervisor and was denied and hung up on. Called Maytag Corp and was told it wasn't their responsibility. Called Dynasty and they said "sorry outside original warranty". Explained that the stove is obviously defective since it's always the same part breaking and I wouldn't have needed a extended warantee if it worked properly to begin with. Left another message with Maytag Dependability Plus because the service repair guy said the btm plate wouldn't be covered! Dynasty said it should. So, here I am still awating a call, still awaiting service and it's 2 weeks plus since I called. Would never by a Maytag product again. Not worth the money or aggravation.
