Konica-Minolta Complaint - The Minolta 7D - Minolta 7D camera

I bought this supposedly "one of the best cameras in the world" from this dealer who is a pharmacist. It was rated #1 by Consumer Reports Guide. Had problems with sticking shutter and memory card slot pins bending. Also too many bells and whistles on it. Had some bad experiences and bad pics from it. Asked for my refund. Dealer said "Minolta does not give refunds." I said "I did not buy it from Minolta. I bought it from you." He never told me camera was warranted for one year. He kept the card that I filled out serial no. and other info; I gave it to him to fill out dealer's part and never got back. Camera was sent off twice for repairs. Second time, it was gone four mos. I complained to BBB, saying I wanted a refund of the price. Finally the dealer said he would buy it back from me for half of what I paid ($1,295) - $600 and he paid the repair bill ($216). Beware - Konica-Minolta software was bought by Sony; KM went out of business. Don't buy this brand because soon you won't be able to get parts for it.

Sounds like you bought something a bit more complicated than you were able to even learn to use. Digital photography is fun, but you have to realize your limitations. The first place you went wrong was buying it from a pharmacist. Many photography stores offer free "how-to" classes when you buy from them, plus the sales people are more clued in to what your wants and needs are, rather than what flavor of flinstone vitamin your kid likes.

You should have done your research on this particular camera model before making the purchase. That camera had alot of bells and whistles that you will never use anfd you could have save more money if you went with another camera with the basic features. My verdict: Tough Luck! Toodles...
