Circuit City Complaint - Customer Service
SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS -- I visited CC #4503 for a coaxial cable and while I was there I noticed a couple computer desks for sale. I asked the associate if they had model ZLN cc202DB in stock. He looked on the computer and said there are 2 in stock. I then asked if he thinks the box would fit my car. He didn't think the box would fit cause of the model of car I had. I told him, I would be back with a friend's SUV. I had to ask my friend and drive me to CC to pickup the table. I asked the associate if model ZLN cc202DB was still in stock and she said there are 2. I told her, I'll take 1 now. I paid for the table and had my friend back his SUV to the customer pickup but when they searched the warehouse, the table was not in stock. She immediately called another store and the store said, we have 2 in stock. I told her to make sure they look because we didn't want to drive there and get the same answer. She found out they also do not have it in stock. I then asked for a store manager. The store director came so I explained to him my situation. He gave me 20% off and I asked could I have it delivery to my house for free since I would need to call my friend again. He said no problem. All was cool and I was pleased then. It shouldn't have happened in the first place but at least he remedied the situation. He said, I’ll get a call once the item arrives and they'll call for a delivery time. I asked him when the shipment was due and was told Wednesday being this was Sunday 3/11/07. I called the store on Friday 3/16 and was told the shipment is in transit. I again double checked if I would be called once the shipment arrived in store and was told I would. I called again today 3/19/07 to check and was surprised that my table did arrive but will be charged a delivery fee. I told the associate my story and he said, yeah do you know who you spoke too? I told him I spoke to a store director on duty that day. He said, I'm sorry I can't help you and there is a delivery fee. I then ask to speak to a store director and was put on hold for at least 7 minutes which the associate did come back and said, CC will delivery it free of charge. WHY DID I HAVE TO CALL SEVERAL TIMES TO GET WHAT I WAS TOLD SHOULD HAPPEN?????
