NEW YORK -- As a honest consumer from your state, I felt it was my responsibility to bring to your attention the following incident.
My file of email communications will show that in July of 2001 I ordered service and a cell phone from 360Wireless.com. When my package finally arrived I discovered that their service did not provide a local calling number only one with long distance charges to my customers, family and friends. Therefore making it useless because my friends, family and customers would not use this service. So when I contacted 360Wireless (they claim I did not) they referred me to AT&T. When AT&T could not provide me a 'local' area code for me; AT&T closed out my account and told me to return my package and so I did as I was instructed. This was all done within the same week that I received it. 360Wireless never refunded my return to them. They waited some time and now are charging me for violating their contract on top of not refunding my monies for the returned merchandise. In my trying to clear this matter my charge account with Captital One Visa was increased the original charge of $99.99 to $179.43 of which I paid hoping to close out the account and eliminate Capital One from my problem in trying to solve this with added fees.
As a resolution, I would like the following:
BBB recommended that I worked something out as to appropriate service but my trying to contact them to work this out has been void.
At this point I am willing to forgive the added charges from $99.99 and no merchandise. But I feel that a complete loss to me for my not even violating is too extreme a loss. I would prefer a complete refund but if only to void out the $300.00 they are still trying to charge me would be appreciated greatly.
Thank you kindly
