Warranty Direct.com Informative - After Market Car Warranty

Review by junk yard dog on 2007-03-24
Do not buy from Warranty Direct. They will not cover repairs when they are expensive even if you have a bumper to bumper warranty. I had a $750.00 transmission problem and their representative stated that it was because of my driving habits???? What does that mean? I have driven on the road, just like anyone else for the past 30 years....and never before have had a car transmission problem. I fought long and hard with the company to pay for this repair, including documentation from 2 mechanics that stated I could not have caused this problem, still to no avail. I would have had to go to arbitration (at my expense)which would have been more than $750.00...and that is the scam.

Thank You "Junk yard dog" for the informative review on WarrantyDirect.com. I never buy any warranties because they are basically worthless to me. Toodles...

For a moment there, when I saw 'Warranty Direct,' I thought my complaint of 3/10 had been moved:

MRM, I planned to keep my Mustang for quite a while, that's why I bought one. My Sis always buys extended warranties on their cars and is money ahead at this point. Thankfully, I've never had to use mine. This time, since the item was once completed under the original factory warranty, I feel it should be done by Warranty Direct. They said otherwise. I sent them a Certified, RR, letter which they got but haven't heard anything from them. Think I'll follow up with another letter.

I've been under an exclusionary policy with Expert Auto Warranty for a little over 3 years now on my 1999 Ford Explorer, and have had absolutely no issues on claims! I've taken my vehicle for repair twice- one on a cylinder head replacement and the other on a water pump repair. I was covered for BOTH on the spot at the Ford servicing center! Talk to Charles at Expert Auto- I strongly recommend him and his honesty. Any other rep there should be ok to talk to also.

They like receiving money from you but not shelling it out when they need to.
