BG&E Complaint - BG&E error - Power Bill

Review by bge on 2007-03-27
MARYLAND -- Hello, Joseph here, I was living at Green Tree Apartments from Dec 2004 - Nov 2006. I purchased a house on 27 Nov 06. I called BG&E about 20 Nov 06 to inform them that I was moving into my new house on 27 nov 06. My account was NOT transfered. After not receiving a power bill by Jan 07, I called BG&E to inquire that I was not getting a power bill. I was told that the bill was being payed, however, they could not disclose who was paying the bill. I left my phone number and name along with the fact that I was not getting a power bill. Time kept going, then this month (mar 07) I received a letter from BG&E to contact them. At this time, I was told that my address got confused with another address in Liuthinum( AACounty. So, Now that I have a new account started, BG&E sent me a bill of $162.00. After BG&E did not transfer my account back in NOV 06, after I tried to inform BG&E that I was not getting a power Bill, After BG&E got my address confused with another address, why should I pay any more than the month of March 07? I did all I could and beyond to keep this error from starting. I appreciate some assistance or adice on this matter. I can be contacted at 410 570 6412. Can I get some advice on what to do with this matter? Thanks, J. S. Reeves

Did you have power to your new home since Nov? If so, then THAT's why you should pay the amount. Frankly, a bill of only $162 for all that time makes you LUCKY indeed. I wouldn't look a gift horse and possible computer error in the mouth and pay the bill.

Are you serious?
You used the electricity, that's why you shoud pay.

I agree with rhondam, $162 isn't that much for all that time. My bill is $150.00 a month for my house.

I should be so lucky! I agree with rhondam and brenda. Just keep poking them...they will figure it out and hit you for what you truly owe.
