Alamo Complaint - Do Not Prepay
I am writing to warn everyone reading this to never opt for the prepay option. I prepaid a rental to take advantage of an extra savings knowing my travel plans were not likely to change. However due to a flight cancelation I had to cancel my reservation and now Alamo is insisting on keeping the money I had already paid to them for 7 business days AFTER the rental period was to end. In this case 12 Business days after the rental cancelation date why they figure out whether or not to refund my money. I can not understand why it is going to take them nearly 15 days to figure out a credit when any store in the country can credit your credit card account in 24 hours.
Also customer service is awful both the American customer service and the India based customer service. The company doesn not appreciate their consumers and i will be hesitent to deal with this company again
They do not resond to email complaints either.
