eBay Complaint - The Feedback system is BROKE!
In a nutshell of what is going on, the feedback system was put in place so that buyers/sellers may give a report card on each other for their transactions. However, in my situation, there are no solutions. I've been a LONG time eBay'er and know all the policies inside and out. There is a new policy that needs to be made. I'll explain...
A seller places an item up for bid. A buyer wins. For whatever reason, the buyer now refuses to pay citing all kinds or reasons why not to pay. The seller opens a dispute via eBay's dispute system. Buyer still refuses to pay. Seller leaves negative feedback about buyer in order to warn other sellers of the buyers actions. ** Here is the problem: ** The BUYER also has the ability to leave negative feedback about the SELLER. This causes the SELLER to look bad for all transactions because the buyer does not like the negative feedback the seller placed on him.
So I ask you, how is this a fair system for the sellers to be able to alert other sellers when a buyer refuses to pay?
Now for the next issue I have with all of this. eBay refuses to do anything about this. No one was willing to transfer me to anything more than a voice mail box. The emails I get back from eBay are nothing more than "Sorry, but....". This doesn't cut it. The BUYER should NOT, I repeat *NOT* be able to leave ANY feedback to a seller because a buyer breaks the contract that is plastered all over eBay when making a bid.
