Gabriel Law Firm Informative - Didn't know what he was doing

Review by cattledog on 2007-03-29
ATLANTA, GEORGIA -- We hired this Attorney to help my son who was on active duty with the Marines to lower his child support and to recitify the changing of the settlement aggreement which had been changed by another Attorney after it had been signed. Gabriels charged us 24000.00 and the settlement agreement was never recitified. Gabriel lied to us he had just gone into practice. This guy will take your money and you will have nothing to show for it.

Perhaps you should have used the 24,000 dollars to pay the child support.

did he give you a receipt???? he should have gave you a receipt for whatever services he was supposed to provide for you. That should be your proof, with that you can sue him to get that money back. If you paid someone $24,000 and did not ask for a receipt then I don't know what to tell you lady.

Just a sidenote, I understand your son's situation, however, do the children now need less food or clothing due to his situation or is this a case of the mother should being covering more.

An attorney can't just lower child support. You have to go to court and a judge makes that ruling and in this case, I assume the judge did not rule in your favor. You still have to pay the attorney for his time whether he wins or loses. I agree wiht Robf, you would have been better off using he $24,000 for the child support.
