AFLAC Informative - Insurance
ARIZONA -- It is interesting that the only two positive remarks about AFLAC originate in AFLAC's home town--couldn't be employees looking to make a free ad campaign, could it? Nah, they'd never do that. The other two sound more likely.
I've written and called AFLAC several times and always received poor service. The first time I called re: my coverage (just whether I was covered) I learned all sorts of new ways to hedge and stall, and never got an answer. then I had help sending in my payment (was sick, after all) and they cashed the check, about 3 weeks later--stalling--and then wrote me a letter saying "I was no longer covered". I called them again, suffering through their very unfriendly and off-putting (purposely, I thought) voice mail system, and had another rep say "hey, no problem, we got the check--don't know why our letter was sent to you". As you can imagine, I am not excited to fill out the claims information.
All somewhat different than what the glib salesman told the group of employees he was selling, that "if you go in the hospital, they send you a thousand dollars just like that". Not quite. Not even quite.
Will post more as I learn more, but I don't trust the Georgia comments at all.
