Centurytel Complaint - Paying for something i'm not getting
MARION, LOUISIANA -- After i finally got Centurytel to get DSL for us we can't seem to stay connected to the internet.I have called 12 times in the last two weeks for the repairman to go out to the connection box and flip a breaker type switch to get me back on line. He told me that the equipment is to weak to with stand the load being put on it. He also told me that they know whats wrong with it but the phone company (Centurytel) won't do anything about it.He said the equipment needs to be upgraded.I upgraded from at 1.5 dsl to a 3.0 dsl about two weeks ago and i have had nothing but trouble with it ever since. They don't want to fix it, but continue to charge me.Why should i pay for internet connection much less dsl if i'm not getting it. I am under a 12 month obligation to keep this junk. I really don't think i should spend the next 12 months calling repair every two or three days to go flip the switch.I have no internet connection on Sundays. I have to wait till Monday so they can again go out and flip the switch. This is a royal pain. Centurytel will not allow any other ISP into the area so we are stuck with them. I thought have a monopoly on anything was against the law?Why can't i have freedom of choice?It's my money thats paying for it.That would be like Wal-mart telling me what cloths i had to wear and what food i had to eat.I would like to know if anyone else is having this problem with Centurytel.
