Sealy Informative - Sealy posturepedic mattress

Review by speedy indian on 2007-03-31
FLORA, INDIANA -- I purchased a sealy posturepedic mattress on 5-21-03 in Logansport, IN...at first I thought the mattress was ok... when I started noticing a problem, I thought it was my imagination, but it wasn't...the mattress is a pillow top and I believe that is the problem... I get plenty of exercise when I DID try to sleep on the mattress because just turning over I would start to roll out of bed.... it seems to slant downwards on each side... this is definitely a mattress from hell.... because of the way the pillow top is constructed, this is probably the problem...our old mattress is extremely broke down and because of my back problems, I can't sleep on it, either.... I usually sleep on the sofa....it's not very comfortable and not good for my back, but it's easier to sleep on than the sealy posturepedic... my friend said I should report the problem, which I thought probably wouldn't do any good....I paid $699 for the mattress plus a new queen size bed, etc....I'm so disappointed....can anything be done?

I am sure that after four years you are stuck with the bed. The only thing you can do is junk it and buy another. Did it come with a warranty.? If it did you might get them to pro-rate it towards a new set. This time don't buy a pillow top because they are junk. My daughter brought one for $1500 four years ago and it hurts her back too.

I have a pillowtop and it is incredible. Anybody that has ever slept in it has said the same thing. We loved it so much that we ended up getting one for the guest bedroom.

What brand is your pillowtop? Everybody that I know that bought one has regretted it.

You paid $699 for a bed and mattress? If this is correct, what did you expect?
