Ugly Duckling Car Sales - Las Vegas Complaint - To Test a Car or Not to Test

Review by Anonymous on 2002-04-08
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA -- It's no wonder they call it Ugly Duckling. My spouse and I went to look at two vehicles on Sunday, 4-7-02. After agreeing to buy one if we liked it I went in to ask for a "Test Drive". These people are freaks. I explained that we liked the Mazda 626 (stock 10809) and the Infiniti J30 (stock 10940) and we would to test drive both. The sale guy asked how much we had planned to put down and we explained 1K to 1.5K. Once he received this information he said we could not drive it without filling out an application. I explained that we may not like the car after the test drive and would not be comfortable doing this. He said it is a requirement that anyone who wants to test drive must fill out an application.

After getting this information I asked to talk to the manager on duty and asked him if this was true. I explained that I had been there previously and was not required to fill out an application for a test drive. He simply asked who the salesman was and stated that's why he no longer works here.

Buyer Beware! Boycott! THEY SUCK you in! Be Careful. Don't Buy There! Go to Thrifty, Aztech, Budget but not here.
