Nextel-Sprint Informative - Dont ever use Nextel

Review by InNMB96 on 2007-04-04
HORRY COUNTY, SOUTH CAROLINA -- Nextel together with Sprint and their horrible service and customer relations.

I have been battling back and forth with Nextel for months now. Every time I call in I get someone who continually places you on hold and states they are doing research on your phones. These calls last on average at least 1 hour.

I use the phone for my business and the dropped calls, no signal, and otherwise ineffectiveness of their service has hindered my ability to talk to clients when they need me.

Yesterday, I thought the maybe could be finally resolved due to one rep that I talked to. He offered me two free phones but when he switched me to someone else they told me that was impossible. Honestly, I think there tactics are to keep switching you to someone else until the consumber gets so frustrated he hangs up.

I am contacting the attorney general's office also today to issue a formal complaint against Nextel and Sprint. I pay almost 200.00 per month for two lines and can not get any service for what I am paying.

I urge anyone considering Nextel with Sprint to check out all complaints before signing up with them. Their customer service and ineffectiveness to resolve matters is horrible .

If anyone knows of a good service provider in Horry County please reply to this article.

Since you are a business user you should have a business rep at Nextel. See if you can find out who he/she is. Then you will get better service.

Nextel seemed like a decent company until Sprint took them over. I have never used either, but I have friends who tried Sprint, pre-Nextel, and swore they were the worst cell company in the market.

No, the worst cell phone company in the market was AT&T Wireless - I was foolish enough to be an employee of the Wireless Networking Services division until I took the layoff and severance (and settlement - but that's another story). Thankfully their incompetence led to the Cingular 'fire sale' takeover in 2004, and AT&T Wireless was no more.

Until now, Sail 27, as you are well aware, AT&T Wireless is back with a vengeance, repurchasing Cingular. I wish they would go away for good.
