Hewlett Packard Informative - Rebates
Review by Anonymous on 2007-04-06
LITTLEROCK, CALIFORNIA -- As a consumer from your state, I felt it was my responsibility to bring to your attention the following incident.
On November 20th I bought a notebook computer from hewlett packard co. I bought it direct from the company store that they call home and home store.when I purchased the computer it was on a deal.If you bought the computer they would give you a printer, copier, fax machine.and they both came with a rebate. The computer came with a $100.00 rebate and the printer came with an $80.00 rebate. it was supposed to take about eight weeks to recieve the rebates after I sent in all the paperwork that they required.I sent in all the paperwork they wanted except the original purchase agreement, as they never sent it. I contacted them a minimum of 4 times and asked for a copy of the receipet and they promised to send one,but as of yet I have never received one. They told me when I called them after ten weeks that they didn't have my paperwork, but if I would send the a fax of all the paperwork they would send me my rebate check in about three working days.after two more weeks and I hadn't recived the checks I called them again and they asked me to fax all the paperwork again, and, I refused as it cost me $6.00 everytime I faxed it, and it had become apparent to me, that they had no intention of sending me what they owed me.it is now 17weeks since I purchased and they had told me that I would recieve my first check by yesterday and well guess what.still nothing. My patience is worn thin.I feel something needs to be done about it.
As a resolution, I would like the following:
I would appreciate it if you could send them a letter to let them know that you are aware of the problem.
Please contact me if you need more details regarding this incident.
