Dorschell Automotive Group Complaint - Unsafe product and discrimination-gender and age

Review by gracie2who on 2007-04-08
I purchased a 2002 Kia Spectra from Dorschel Kia in Jan. 07.
A few days into the ownership I wanted to return the car. Unsafe, no stability on snow, eats gas like an SUV. Told no no no .

I then found out the car has a branded title and Dorschel claims no knowledge. They also told me on the day of sale the car was not in ANY accidents(with a witness present). The car was in an accident in 2004-possibly the reason for the Branded Title.

I have been back several times only to be placated and told there is no problem with your car and we cannot replace it as we have no comparable cars in your price range.

Their Ad on radio states they sell cars starting at $4995, however they do not have any of those when I go to their dealership. I was told to they would not deal with me when I rolled my eyes at their financial person. Gee I think rolling my eyes is the least of my problems. They did check out the vehicle for me and I wa told "It drives like that , it's a Kia" Well, they didn't say that when I purchased the car. They are deceptive and do not advertise truthfully.

Evidently I am the only person in their histtory that cannot be financed twice.
I simply want to be treated with the same respect when I have a serious problem as the day I unfortunatley walked ito their dealership to buy a car.

Whenever buying a used car, you should first order a record check of the vehicle through carfax.com so you can make an informed decision on your purchase. I don't know that dealerships are required to tell consumers the history of a car, although they should.

So, when does your age and gender come into play? Or did you just throw that into your title to make it sound better.

Did you not drive the car before you bought it? This isn't like buying a pair of gloves at Target - you can't return it after a few days because you decide it doesn't fit your needs.
