Dodge Complaint - My 2004 Dodge Dakota's HAUNTED electrical system
CLEVELAND, OHIO -- Please advise...
I have a 2 1/2 year old Dodge Dakota, purchased August, 2004 - and I keep having problems with certain systems.
For the second time now, my left blinker only functions sparatically. Sometimes it works - other times it blinks rapidly as if a bulb is blown. It's NOT the bulb. They fixed it once already and told me I barely slid in under the warrenty, as the vehicle was barely a year old. Now it's doing it again.
Also, just last week, my fan for my heater/vent/A/C/defroster - ONLY WORKS ON HIGH, none of the lesser fan settings.
In August, 2006, just as the vehicle turned 2, I needed a completely new brake system, rotors, brakes, the whole enchalada. $700 later I was told all Dakota's do that because they can't grind the smaller trucks brake rotors.
One thing after another - this truck smells more and more lemon-ish.
Any comments, suggestions, recommendations? Are ALL the mid-sized trucks like this? Would these phantom electrical problems still be covered? I didn't buy an extended warrenty.
