TranSouth Finance Complaint - Customer Treatment - Auto Loan

BEFORD, TEXAS -- TranSouth is an alternative lender with high interest rates for less than perfect credit. When I started using them,it was through a local branch and their customer service was much better. Now, it is in Bedford, TX and I was two days late on sending my payment, I was getting harrassing phone calls,threats by reps, and really negative comments like, "If you paid your car, we would not have to call you". True, but two days late does not warrant them to treat me this way. When I first got this loan, I had a ten day grace period, now TranSouth states, they no longer offer grace periods and they will call when they want even Sunday early evening. When you want to escalate the call to a Supervisor, they will not allow you to nor will they provide you with their full name (or they will lie) so that you can write a letter. This is my last car loan with them, I have had three with their local branch, never thirty days late, besides, they are making more than enough on me with high rates and fees.

If you paid your bills on time you wouldn't have this problem.

I can truly empathize with you and your situation. I also used Transouth as a lending agent. I always made my payments on time for over one year and even paid more than I was supposed to on those occasions, but unfortunately I encountered a financial disaster and had a difficult time keeping up with my payments. Transouth reps did the same thing to me... harrassing phone calls non-stop every other day. They called one Saturday morning five minutes after I received a phone call advising me that my brother had tragically died a couple of hours earlier. The rep really didn't seem to care that I was crying and in shock about losing a very close sibling... this rep even threatened to have me arrested if I left my home to make funeral arrangements in the car I financed through Transouth... he said he'd report the vehicle as stolen. This rep would not give me his name nor his supervisor's. This is not my only complaint with Transouth... their customer service totally sucks! Their reps are uneducated and must be on drugs because everytime I have called in to make a payment by phone, they take out the wrong amount from my checking account. I am so sick and tired of this company, that I actually refinanced my vehicle with another bank for 3x less the interest rate... now Transouth won't give me the title to my car and it's been over 60 days... Texas law states that vehicle titles must be transferred to the new owner within 20 days of the sale.... Nice job, Transouth, thanks for nothing... I'm telling everyone I can about your company's HORRIBLE service... you people should be ashamed of yourselves!
