Automotive Financial Consultants Complaint - Misleading Opener, But They Have No Idea
ST. PETERS, MISSOURI -- How many postcards and phone calls have I received now that start with "Our records indicate that the manufacturer's warranty on your vehicle is about to expire or has already expired"?
And these people won't stop, even after I've told them they have the wrong information about me or any vehicle they think I have. Because they don't know what vehicle I have, when I question them. Automotive Financial Consultants, 1395 Jungermann Road, Suite C, St. Peters, Missouri, 63376 continues to blindly call and mail out postcards to any address and phone number they can buy, hoping to catch someone in this situation.
During my many phone discussions with them, I have asked 'who told you I have a vehicle with an expiring warranty?' ... answers are - your car dealership, the bank that financed your car, your car insurance company, your credit card company, your current warranty holder ... however, they cannot name a specific company that gave them this information nor a contact name and number for that company.
When asked why do they keep repeating to send me mail and phone me, although I have asked them not to, they respond vaguely with another source had provided my contact information. Yet again, they cannot say what company that is, but seemingly they have over a dozen companies telling Automotive Financial Consultants that I need auto warranty coverage now.
Automotive Financial Consultants says the federal 'do not call' list does not apply to them because it is companies I have dealings with that are giving them the information. If they can't name who gave them my contact info, well that makes it hard for me to call up whoever I have these dealings with to get them to stop having Automotive Financial Consultants to stop contacting me.
During some downtime, I have repeated to call them back on 866-538-1212, the number they provide to me to call them back as soon as possible to extend this coverage, and question them about what warranty and on what vehicle they are talking about, who told them I need coverage, and question why they keep contacting me to immediately contact them.
The only information they really want from me is my VIN, mileage and credit card number.
