Dell / Microsoft Complaint - Vista
KODIAK, ALASKA -- I have never been so unhappy or frustrated with a product in my 52 years. Help is no help. On the phone for day in and day out without success, 8 days on the phone for min. of 5 hrs. a day. Talking with people who could hardly speak English and were hard to understand. spending $1,000.00 on a dell w/ vista has been a nightmare. I feel robbed of my money, time and tolerance. in a 2 week period I have returned one tower and am now packing up the second tower to be returned also I GOING TO BUY A MAC.
Totally fed up with dell p.c. and this garbage program called vista. Sure it looks pretty but it does not work. I've BEEN ROBBED BY DELL
Ok its a new day. After a short time, my computer guy got my brand new Dimension E520 w/Vista able to install the downloads that were needed to get an antivirus program working. The Norton and McAfee programs which were installed into the new towers both had to be removed, in order to get online, which left me unprotected. My long days on the phone to dell, Norton, and mcafee a slow,painfull,frustrating process that i would not wish on any foe, did not solve the problem. my computer guy, (whom now i love) found a program that was not the antivirus & firewall package. installing only the antivirus fixed the problem. Dell install security programs that were not compatible and not a single person from tech support knew of this problem. i think I'll get a Mac.
