Cheaptickets.com Complaint - Worst Experience in Customer Service
WASHINGTON DC, DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA -- We booked a flight from Eastern US to Germany on their site. Got confirmation a few moments later - next day we get email and says that "your flight could not be recorded and your reservation has been cancelled. Your credit card will not be charged. Please rebook on line at. . ." Two days later our card was charged and after waiting a total of 3 hours on hold, disconnect on transfer, ect., finally got a human being. All communication had to be by long distance fax (even though they communicate via email)? Finally got call back from Sr. supervisor - said we double booked within a minute and it's our fault. I asked how their slow system could enable this to happen in under a minute, and he had no answer and told me to just eat the cost of the $1420 tickets or pay the $500 to cancel. Blame the customer first. Real reason: they don't want to pay United's cancel fee of $500 for 2 tickets. I asked for proof - "sorry I can't do that".
