Noxell Corporation Complaint - inferior product
Complaint
CANADA -- This morning while I was applying a CG SMOOTHERS to my eyelid the inside part which contains the makeup that is applied to the eyelid slipped into the outer part of the product causing the sharp outer layer to scrape my eyelid causing pain and breaking the skin on my eyelid! You should understand that the pencil was sharpened directly before using exposing the inside part at least 3 millimeters above the sharp outer layer. I have never in the 15 years or more of using eyeliner seen an eyeliner fall apart this way. It is dangerous to all of us as consumers. I have been told by different makeup artists that this area of eye should always be treated delicately. My eye is very red, irritated and sore due to this inferior product. It could have been more serious and I am concerned about other consumers who do not know these pencils can cut their eyelids. If I am not satisfied with the way this matter is dealt with I will be sure to share my negative experience with all my friends, relatives and clients. I have always had confidence in the cover girl line however I am not sure I if I do anymore.
To help keep me as a potential future customer, I would like the following:
I expect a prompt responce along with an explaination regarding what Noxell Corp. plans to do about my eye as well as how they plan to prevent this happening to other consumers. I would appreciate an apology along with some sort of compensation for my very sore eyelid which is still bothering me right now as I type this letter over 12 hours later!
At the very least I would like a response from your company regarding this incident. Thank you for your time.

This person who has a problem with this complaint sounds like someone who may work for the company. We should all ecpect nothing but the best products from large corporations like noxell.

I completely agree with the filer of this complaint. I, too have not only scratched my eye with this product but developed an irritation from it as well, and my eyelids are red and swollen, I would like to add that I don't develop irritations easily either. And to all the people who responded so disagreeably to this person, I would like to say that it's not easy being beautiful.
