Chase Manhattan Bank Complaint - Chase Leisure Rewards
WHITE PLAINS, NEW YORK -- I had no idea Chase had so many serious complaints until I read this site. Having read them, however, may explain why I've become increasing disappointed with Chase. Since I do not charge anything, (choosing to use my debit/credit card only as a debit card) I have avoided the interest hassle, so my complaint about Leisure Rewards seems petty HOWEVER==
Leisure Rewards began a number of years ago. Users paid a fee and each time the User made purchases with the card got points for each dollar spent.
Recently I find I have not gotten points for each purchase. When I called to find out why, I was told that any purchase made with the pin number did not qualify. I asked, "Since when?" The response to that was that the rules were the same as when I joined. Again I protested and said that wasn't true.
I asked to speak to the supervisor. She indicated I had been a member since 2006 and those were the rules I agreed to.
Not true! I have been a Leisure Rewards subscriber since it started, but the '06 reference called to mind the fact that Chase had sent me a new card with "Blink" on it--whatever that is as I've never been able to find a merchant that knows.
Finally the supervisor said Visa changed the rules about what purchases qualified. I requested a phone number for VISA and was given the same phone number I had called originally--Chase Visa!!!!
