American Airlines Complaint - Central baggage Supervisor at American Airlines
CHICAGO, ILLINOIS -- My flight was cancelled at 9am in Chicago to SC. The next flight was oversold and left 6 hours later. AA put my luggage on that flight anyway! THey would not give me my luggage back and said no matter what happens, my luggage will be on a plane 6 hours from then and will reach its destination with or without me! They lost my luggage from the cancelled flight and said they would call. No calls for 9 days.
Since my plane was cancelled, I re-booked for the following week on the same. I take my new trip on AA with another bag... they lost it (2nd bag in 7 days). I got the second bag back two days later, but the first cancelled flight bag was missing. I call central baggage claim. They can 't get Ohare AA baggage to pick up the phone and basically told me good luck and gave me Ohare's AA baggage phone number. Finally, AA contacted me for the first time in 9 days saying they had my luggage and but couldn't hold on to it!! I called AA Central Baggage (because Ohare does not pick up the phone). Supervisor [NAME REMOVED] refuses to deliver my bag without C.O.D. b/c I did not take the flight!! I told her I didn't take the flight b/c it was cancelled. She said company policy. She can't reach Ohare AA baggage people for a delivery estimate. I asked for her supervisor....she said she was the supervisor...I asked her for who she directly worked for, she tells me her boss is American Airlines. What a smart ass and unprofessional woman. My luggage is gone (2 bags, 2 flights, both AA) in one week and they won't deliver my bag unless by C.O.D. b/c I didn't fly on a cancelled flight? So I went to the airport last night to find a baggage line at AA 20+ people long. Wow. 1.5 hrs. So what is the take away? I have $2K/month for travel out of state for 3 years. We have a business account with AA. AA's share will be none. The other airlines are not much better, but AA can personally thank [NAME REMOVED] supervisor for this decision.
