EZ Cruise Parking Informative - Parking Lot Nightmare

Review by Texjun on 2007-04-20
GALVESTON, TEXAS -- My wife and I booked a cruise last October in Galveston, so we left our car with EZ Cruise Parking. We were not aware that our car was going to be left in an old dilapidated secondary car lot in a run down neighborhood near the port of Galveston that was in a flood prone area. When we sailed in from our cruise, we were shocked to see our car in two feet of water in their lot. No ONE from EZ Cruise Parking ever bothered to return our calls. The $10 we saved was NOT worth the $500 deductible I had to pay to get our car cleaned out. I would not recommend anyone to use this company!!! Spend the extra $20 for peace of mind!

OMG! That is a very unfortunate incident. You parked there at your own risk. No one is responsible for looking out for your car as it states on the sign and on the back of your parking ticket. Question: spend extra $20 on what, a better parking lot?

Depending on how much effort you want to make, if you live near Galveston, next time it rains go check out the lot and leave a note on the car that is stuck in the same spot yours was. Maybe you have a case if they knowingly continue to put cars there and you act as a group against the company. Depends how much $500 means to you. But if it was a one time occurence, to quote Pomona Guy "that sucked".

By the virtue of a company renhaving a space in a parking lot, I think a reasonable individual would think it is not going to be flooded. (In a hurricaine maybe, but not just in normal data-to-day operation). I agree "that sucked".

well we're all in agreement, that sucked
