Jump Rope Store Complaint - Horrible Customer Service

PORTLAND, OREGON -- I placed an order for 5 jump ropes on March 22, 2007 ($40.89) and according to their website, my order would ship out in approx. 3 days. It is now April 23rd and still no jump ropes. I have contacted this company MANY times via phone and email and I cannot get anyone to call/email me back. DO NOT order from these people (unless you are ready to just give your money away). These people are crooks plain and simple.... they have the absolute WORST customer service I have ever encountered. Buyer Beware!!!

Wow, nice profit margin for the Jump Rope Store. 100% profit! File a chargeback and maybe you can help them loose their merchant account.

Hang in there and don't let these guys trip you up. File a dispute with your credit card company and tie up any loose ends with these folks. Find yourself a local rope vendor that will jump thru hoops and go to great lengths to keep a customer happy. Best of luck!

Ask for your money back, and than go get jump ropes at Kmart or Walmart they should not be between 1 and 3 dollars.

Thank you for your advice. I ordered these for Easter gifts. The vendor allows you to customize the colors so I chose each of my kiddos fav. colors to make the jump rope 'theirs'. The type of jump rope is like the kind you see in elementary school-heavy duty with plastic beads. The ones at my local Walmart/Target were pretty crappy.

I have filed a complaint with the Oregon Better Business Bureau and will call my bank this afternoon. I used my debit card...should have used a regular credit card and it would be much easier to contest.

In response to the last poster...I have requested a refund several times but cannot get anyone to return my calls/emails. They have an answering machine and I have left at least 5 messages and have sent 4 emails.

Maybe this is for the best. Those hard plastic jump-ropes always hurt my legs when I missed a jump.

I have heard about the proliferation of specialty stores, but this is going to L with a joke. A jump rope store? what next, a right tennis shoe store?
Has anyone else seen the newest in excercise equipment? They call it a ropeless jump rope. It is two handles that have some kind of weight arrangement that simulates the weight transfer of a jump rope. The movement is what provides the healthful benefits, and many people have been injured by getting tangled in the rope. This device gives you all the excercise of a regular jump rope, with no chance whatsoever of ending up with broken bones from tieing yourself up with a jump rope.
