Suncom Wireless Complaint - Terrible customer service
WILSON, NORTH CAROLINA -- On April 17, 2007 I purchased a Samsung SGH-X506 cellular phone from Suncom online. This phone has terrible voice quality when people answer your calls. They can't hear what you are saying because the speaker on this phone is too small. Anyway, I called Suncom at their customer service number on the 23rd of April to report this problem and I was told that since I was within the 15 day trial period that I could take the phone into a Suncom store and they would be able to send it back for me. Well, about 20 minutes later I arrived at the Suncom store and described my problem to the customer service "unprofessional". She told me that I could not return the phone at the Suncom store and that I would have to send it back to Suncom internet sales. This is a totally different thing that the Suncom customer service person told me. Basically the Suncom store clerk thought that I was telling a lie. I talked with 4 different people while I was at the Suncom store and noone in their customer service department would take responsiblity for this problem and tell me what I needed to do to resolve this simple return issue. I finally stormed out of the store and have taken matters into my own hands. I have been with Suncom for more than 2 years. I bought this phone as an upgrade which started another 2 year agreement. Suncom cellular service is great, but the customer service is poor, very poor. At the store level and at the customer service department when you call into try and resolve an issue. THEY JUST DON'T GET IT!!!!! I have a corporate contact at the home office that hopefully will be able to resolve this issue for me.
