Charter Communications Complaint - No phone service after 10 days and a bill to boot
ROCHESTER, MINNESOTA -- We have been without a phone since 4/13 (it is now 4/23) when Charter attempted to install phone service. We made arrangements for someone to spend the day at our house so that they could come at their convenience. They promptly came and installed the service. When I returned from work I found that the service was not accepting incoming calls so call #1 was made to Charter for repair. The next day, they sent someone out who also could not connect the service, so the following day, call #2 was made to Charter. (Notice we have to initiate all the follow up, they never do) After speaking with 3 people, my husband was transferred a third time and was disconnected. No one has attempted to follow up on if our service is working correctly now, which it isn't. My belief is that Charter is not ready to provide this service and has gotten in over their heads at an attempt to claim additional revenues. I would not recommend anyone use this service unless they want to spend countless hours on the phone trying to right the many wrongs. It really hurts when you get a bill from your local phone company after Charter was supposed to handle that too. It's too bad companies like Charter care so much about revenues and so little about keeping their customers happy. We'll be finding a new provider very soon!
