UMG Buyersedge Complaint - Buyers Edge Is One Sneaky Company
MARKLE, INDIANA -- Like the rest of you, I was also scammed by BuyersEdge. I bought my fiance something through Personal Creations' website, and at the end I clicked on a link asking me if I wanted to accept free discount coupons on things such as plane tickets, gas, and such. I thought it'd be cool and they didn't SPECIFY they would charge you, and accepted. I've been charging me $11.99 for the past two months now, and I decided do some research on this company, because I wasn't for sure what it was. The first time I had seen the charge, I thought it was for something I had bought and must have forgotten about when I had taken a trip to Chicago, IL. But when I saw the charge today for THIS month, I knew something was wrong. I found this site before I called, which blew me away!
They really need to specify that you are going to be charged for their services. The number I called was 888-326-7156, which I also believe is a 24hr number, and talked with a lady (which was hard to understand because she talked way too fast!!), and confirmed who I was with her and asked her to cancel my subscription (which she tried to talk me into keeping). She gave me a confirmation number and told me the charges will be credited back to my acct. in about 2 days. We will see!! I know some of you have said they haven't done so and this really freaks me out.
We all need to be very aware of what we are accepting to when we purchase products. If something says you can have something "complimentary" or "free".. don't believe them! Scam Artists are laughing in our faces each day.
