Chevrolet Complaint - Brake Problems
DAMARISCOTTA, MAINE -- My 2005 colorado was a piece of junk !!! It had major problems with the brakes, and gm refused to fix them. They told me that because of my "driving habits", they would not be responsible for any failures or problems with the brakes. Less than 1000 miles were on the truck when i experienced squeaking and grinding noises. I took it to the dealership to find out what the problem was. They said that all vehicles do this when they are new. I have had several new vehicles and this is the first one to ever have this problem. They said the problem was the brake pads and they would not replace the pads because they were not under warranty. No kidding! I asked that they check the calipers and/or the rotors. I had continued to drive the truck with the problems everyday. It only became worse. I talked to 3 mechanics (not with gm), and they said there was a problem that gm should fix. The dealership refused to fix it and gm customer service said there was nothing wrong with the truck. I was stuck with a lemon!!!
Just a suggestion to everyone, do not buy any gm vehicle and think that you are going to get any kind of service!!!!!
