Shoplift.com Complaint - Lies and Broken Policy
NEW YORK -- We made the drastic mistake of ordering from Shoplift.com. On March 8th we order one of their more expensive pool slides. We did not hear anything from them for weeks. We called on April 8th to cancel the slide and purchase it elsewhere. Suddenly they shipped it and emailed us a tracking number.
Three weeks later it is still sitting in a warehouse 100 miles from us. They will not release it because shoplift.com had not paid all the shipping costs and someone in shoplift.com was trying to negotiate a lower shipping cost, all the while we are out $2300.00 and have no slide. For three solid weeks, everyday, the people at shoplift.com lied to us. They told us it was all clear. They told us it would arrive tomorrow--over and over and over. It was not until we threatened the BBB and a lawyer that we actually heard from the shipping company. Now we have to wait another week because the shipping company had to find another shipping company to carry the slide to us. Very unprofessional, unorganized and they have a true talent at making the customer feel un-wanted, un-valuable and a pain in the neck because we want our product. I would not recommend them to anyone.
The best part is that they state, in their own policy, that shipping will take place withing 17 days. We are going on 60 days!
