Amazon.com Complaint - Ripped off by Amazon seller Long Island Watch
WASHINGTON -- EDIT: I accidentally placed this as "resolved". It's far from that.
Purchased this watch a while back and sent an email to the company in Russia inquiring about the case material. Found out this watch was counterfeit goods so I notified Amazon, canceled my account and sent a letter to the FTC about Amazon hosting companies that sell counterfeit merchandise. Glad I found this site as well so I could warn others about some of their "Marketplace sellers".
I'll never do business with Amazon again.
Here's a canned response from Amazon CSR:
Thank you for writing to us at Amazon.com.
We have received your request to investigate order
for "Poljot Aviator Day-Date PM107" from Long Island Watch.
I'm sorry to learn that your order concerns were not resolved. We want all of our customers to have trouble-free experiences on our site, and I regret this was not the case.
Unfortunately, after having investigated your order situation, I see that you will not be eligible for a refund under the terms of our A- to-z Guarantee because your order was made more than 90 days ago.
There are no other actions available to us that would let us resolve this issue on your behalf.
I'm truly sorry that we're not able to assist further and that this experience has been a disappointment. Even though your order was with one of our independent sellers, we realize that this experience may influence your decision to visit our stores again.
I will be sure to pass your message on to the appropriate department in our company for consideration. It is always important for us to hear how customers react to all aspects of shopping at Amazon.com.
Strong customer feedback like yours helps us continue to improve the selection and service we provide, and we appreciate the time you took to write to us.
Again I'm sorry for any inconvenience this causes. Thanks for shopping at Amazon.com.
