ZECH's Service Center Complaint - 94 bravada in twice still same problem

Review by marty1027 on 2007-04-27
YORK, PENNSYLVANIA -- I just wanted to give a word of caution to people looking for an auto service center. You might want to steer clear of Zech's in York,PA. I brought my 94 Bravada to them they replaced the EGR valve and searched for a brake problem that was caused by the vacuum problem. Cost to me $570.00 got the car back within 350 miles same problem. This time they had it for a week no charge no repair ,same problem. Zech's has my $570.00 and my car is just the same as when they first got it.
Company Response on 09/24/2009:
Vehicle had a fault code for EGR. Diagnosis confirmed problem EGR was replace and test drive confirmed repair. Returned almost 2 months later with EGR code and a few others. Rechecked vehicle at NO CHARGE and on test drive vehicle began to run properly. Cleared codes and drove the vehicle many times without a problem returning. Diagnosis was a piece of carbon probably stuck in EGR and on our test drive dislodged itself thus the proper operation during ensuing test drives. No further charges were ever charge to this customer. BTW this engine had a recurring problem with carbon in EGR system.
